WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

2009 Water Line Replacement Project

The District continued to upgrade its four inch water lines in 2009 by replacing approximately 10,000 feet of undersized piping that can no longer deliver the optimum amount of fire flow that modern firefighting equipment can use. These lines were service for over 50 years and are at the end of their useful lifespan. JBS Pipeline was low bidder for 2009 and was awarded the contract by the Bancroft-Clover Board of Directors. Construction is complete and minor asphalt replacement will take place as weather allows. Thank you for your patience during this important project.

Watch for information regarding the 2010 system improvements!

Water Distribution System Pressure Improvements

The Bancroft-Clover Water and Sanitation District has struck a deal with Denver Water to expand the pressure zone served by Kendricks Pump Station which would allow Bancroft to discontinue pumping from the W. Florida Avenue and S. Pierce Street Pumping facility. This change will save the District considerable maintenance and utility costs. Also, this particular area of the District with customers that have had historically received low pressure and those customers that have had seasonal pressure from summer to winter will receive higher pressure that will remain constant throughout the year. The system improvements are complete and the new pressure is flowing to the affected customers.
