2007 Water Use Program
The 2007 Water Use Program guidelines are as follows:
• No watering between the hours of 10AM and 6PM from May 1, 2007 to August 31, 2007. (Schedule does not apply to new sod and seed).
• There are no designated watering days, however it is strongly recommended to water two days per week and add an additional day during the very hottest time of the summer. To save additional water adjust the time watered for the month of the summer. For example, water less in May and September than in July and August. For specific watering times go to www.denverwater.org and click on the “2007 Water Use Program”.
Do not waste water by:
• Watering when it is raining or when significant precipitation is forecast.
• Over watering landscapes.
• Allowing excessive water to flow off the property and run across streets, driveways, alleys etc.
• Watering impervious surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, rocks etc.
• Failing to repair water system leaks or damaged sprinkler heads.
• Watering when it is windy.
• Washing down driveways and sidewalks is not recommended unless there is a health concern.
Check operation of irrigation system (heads, timing, and check for leaks) at least once a month. Many problems may go undetected due to watering in the evening or early in the morning. If you suspect your irrigation system is leaking, repair the system as soon as possible or contact an irrigation contractor for assistance!
Bancroft-Clover Water and Sanitation District does not issue credits to accounts for water used through meters.
