Board of Directors Election May 6, 2008
The Bancroft-Clover Water and Sanitation District Board of Directors election will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. There will be two vacant positions as well as a Director that is up for re-election. Board of Directors must be property owners in the District. Candidates that are interested in running for a Board of Directors position must file a Self Nomination and Acceptance form with the District’s Election Official by the end of the business day on February 29, 2008. Write-In Candidates must file paperwork with the District’s Election Official by the end of the business day on March 3, 2008 to be eligible to be a write in candidate in the May 6 election. Bancroft-Clover Water and Sewer Rates to Increase in 2008
The District Board of Directors has adopted new water and sewer rates for 2008. The water rates will increase 3.9% to all District customers. The required increase is in response to a 4.7% increase to Bancroft-Clover Water and Sanitation District for all water purchased from Denver Water as well as cost increases in all aspects of District operations. The water rate increase will result in a $0.11 per thousand gallons cost increase. Bancroft-Clover Water and Sanitation District is a Denver Water Master Meter Water Distributor. By contract the District purchases all water that is provided to Customers from Denver Water. Denver is responsible for the treatment and testing of the water that is provided to Bancroft-Clover Water and Sanitation District customers.
The Board of Directors has also increased the sewer rates 13.35% to all District customers in response to an increase of over 20% from Metro Wastewater Reclamation District. The increase results in a $1.44 per month increase for single family residential customers. Metro Wastewater Reclamation District treats all the wastewater from District Customers.
